On August 25th, 2018 – META Brampton in partnership with the B-Jazzed presented a unique event titled ‘Fundamental Conversations – Jam Session and Live Podcast’ which featured Gurpreet ‘The Tabla Guy’ Chana (One half of kLoX) and Carmen Spada (Music Educator and Co-Founder/Artistic Director of B-Jazzed). The event which was moderated by local media personality Nav Nanwa had both musicians participate in a live podcast discussion on the fundamentals of music composition and it’s continued importance in this day and age. Both Gurpreet and Carmen also participated in a jam session fusing elements of Jazz with the sounds of Tabla and other global instruments. The full event was streamed live on Facebook:
